Fraser Valley RC Flyers is comprised of approximately 80 members of all ages and includes both male and female members. FVRCF is a MAAC Sanctioned club and flying is done at our MAAC sanctioned field located in the North end of the Chilliwack Area. Most of the members fly planes that use electric motors for power, but some of the early members still fly fuel driven engines as well as electric. New members may only use electric power for their models and are not allowed to fly fuel engines. Fuel engines tend to be noisy and are perceived by the public at large of producing pollution in the form of smoke and noise. During the winter months, when the weather is too inclement to fly outdoors, the club rents one of the large indoor buildings at Heritage Park a few times a month where members fly models designed for indoors and confined spaces. You will see cars parked at our flying field in the image and map below.
